Studio LANVIN looked to the interwar years of the 1920s and 30s—the dawn of the modern world—to synthesize Jeanne Lanvin’s singular sensibility and hand. The designs interpret the essential house codes: an aggressive pursuit of line and silhouette, the intricate techniques of hand embroidery, a layered femininity, a sensual masculinity, unabashed romance. At the same time, a contemporary pulse is built into the life of garments that speak to a new elegance, a new house mantra of ‘le chic ultime’.
